Thank you, of course it is really nice, clear and usefull vid, and of course we want more like that.
I actually took quite a bit from that short video. I've been wanting to tone down some of the super intense comic styles I've always taut myself from and get more into exactly what your referring to about necessary and unnecessary details.
Misinterpreting the shape, like how your used the example of the brow and cheek bone. Im totally guilty of that, lol Cheek Bones on steroids. So interesting that all someone needs to do it point it out and suddenly your wonder if you were really seeing anything properly. The drawing is easy.

what a wonderful (refreshing) step by step. I especially appreciated that you included the background on your subject. So many people over look the model being a person and more of a prop. Great step by step with clear concise information. I'm going to have to listen to it multiple times. Thanks for posting.

I really love this piece!!
my question is in regards to the last step on the addition of the whites. Is it important to keep them areas unaffested by the charcoal and as nupastel is a hard pastel is it important to have a certain surface?
I usully use the rubber to get to white of the paper but i like how strong your whites are..

When Calrk told me he had been in a Twlilight Zone episode, I thught he was BS-ing me. But the next time it was on, there he was, in the episode about the characters who are trapped in a round room and turn out to be dolls in a bin. Later i made contact with the lady who played the ballerina, and relayed a message from her to him and he was so greateful.
I really appreciated the background story on Clark. He's the type of person I would loved to have talked to and hear stories from.
